Korean Harvest Church History
2013
Pastor Paul came to Grand Rapids, MI from Flushing, NY to serve a local Korean church as the senior pastor.
2014
Korean Harvest Church was established to address the need for a Korean Independent Baptist church in the West Michigan area.
2015
The first official immersion baptism for a church teen was performed in a local West Michigan lake.
2016
The church moved from the pastor's house to Kuyper College in Grand Rapids, MI.
2020
Due to declining numbers and financial difficulties, the church decided to revert back to worship at a member's private residence.
2024
Through the grace of God, Plainfield Baptist Church grants space for Sunday morning Worship.
2024
Korean Harvest Church continues to serve and worship faithfully. An online ministry is in the works to this day to reach a wider geographical area.
Mission Statement
With God's faithfulness and grace, our church has been able to remain active and continue worshiping ever since its inception. While we may be a small congregation at the moment, we hope to provide a safe haven and a deeper understanding of the Bible to not just Koreans, but to anyone who hungers for it.
Our Mission:
To provide people with ample opportunities to worship, praise, and ultimately understand the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Christ will come again soon and until that day, we will serve and teach people about God's history, commandments, and promises to come.
Our Purpose:
We exist for the sole purpose to glorify God and to keep his Word as close to the original text as possible. In order to accomplish this, Korean Harvest Church continually studies doctrines and the Bible as well as provide a safe space for all visitors while challenging one another to keep growing spiritually.
Our Vision:
There is an evident need for a true-to-the-word Korean church not just in Grand Rapids, MI but in the wider West Michigan area. Ultimately, we aim to become a church that can be seen as a strong spiritual foundation for not just Koreans, but for everyone in the community.
